The Brief
Coventry University's Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) needed a compelling promotional video to announce their £6 million expansion and relaunch. The challenge was condensing the story of nearly 2,000 square metres of cutting-edge facilities, global metaverse participation, and AME's transformative 'Faculty on the Factory Floor' model into an engaging one-minute film that would resonate with students, industry partners, and stakeholders worldwide.
The Process
As lead photographer and one of a team of camera operators, we captured the visual narrative across multiple dimensions of the launch event. This involved filming the state-of-the-art laboratories, robotics testing areas, and digital twin pilot environments while documenting the groundbreaking metaverse experience that connected guests from Australia to Egypt. The approach required balancing dynamic facility shots with human moments—capturing both the technological innovation and the collaborative spirit between Coventry University and industry partners like Unipart Manufacturing.
